A poker group

So lately ive been considering starting a serious poker group. Of course we all know about the stratford sharks, but guess what, they are just about dead. This time I want it to be different. No I dont have a catchy name for it, but the eventual plan on top of strategy etc. would be to share a bankroll. It would obviously have to be a serious commitment, but I just want to experiment with things such as, would a community bankroll work, can we really make people that better of players just by discussing strategy? etc. I only plan on having 4 people at most. Probably going to be two. The reasons being: 1. I wouldnt be comfortable sharing strategy with too many people, I mean its just not smart. 2. Sharing a bankroll is a serious thing... I obviously have a few people in mind for this not-yet-named group, but I plan on assembling it before the Main Event on April 9. I am going to talk to some people about it, but if you read this and you are interested let me know. I will probably do something corny like hand quizzes etc. to see how valuable you would be as a "teammate."

This is just an experiment but if your interested email me maheha@comcast.net or you can hit me up on aim: This Is Mesisca

Drexel Poker: the final week

So this being my last week here at drexel, i played on Wed. and Thursday. Wednesday I started off extremely aggressive and ended up buying in 2 extra times. In the game for $60 I tightened up and managed to hit some big hands. I actually hit a royal flush, I had KJspades and the flop came Kd Ts Qs. Nick had JT and I made a small bet and he called. The turn came the Ace of Spades. Nick bet $5 and I called. The river was a blank, I bet $6 and nick re-raised all in and I called. I ended the night up $75. On Thursday I won $15 in the short lasting, short handed game. I like the way I am playing and hope to continue to play as often as possible.

Roller Coaster

Its been awhile since my last update. I figured I was going to wait until after FPL Event 6 but that has been canceled like 3 times or something. Anyway, Not much has changed for my pockets, Ive picked up small wins here and there at school, but my big cash was at FPL Event 5 where I took it down and won $180. Ive managed to lose it all back in cash games at franks. Between boredom and carelessness, for some reason I cant take his cash games serious. Which is weird because I have learned to accept the fact that I need to be disciplined to win the .25/50 game at drexel... Anyway, Ive recently discovered the blog of another local player, Vinny Baldino, who you might call a genious. Why? Well, Vinny has managed to get a poker game going with a group of kids who are below par, and he has also managed to tell anyone who could give him a run for his money in this game absolutly nothing about it. I think he is doing farely well so Ill try to get a link up to his blog soon.

Im fairly excited about Franks Main Event because of the "boom" it will bring back to franks poker league. The Main Event is Going to be April 9th at is going to be held at my house. Hopefully we can break last years attendance.
