The Extended Summer Week 1.
So as most of you know I have withdrawn from Drexel. Since I am done early and wont be going to school until September, now would be a good time to attempt to start a bankroll. I am still interested in finding some people to get together on a mutual bankroll and have been watching the play of various people interested and not interested. I have come to the conclusion that because there are not enough tournaments right now, I am only going to have two other people in on it, and when the summer comes maybe allow more people in.
On Saturday frank had a satellite followed by a cash game. I played well, I was extremely happy when we played PL Omaha because it is my favorite cash game especially 6 handed. I made close to $60 playing that in 30 minutes. So with around $90 in front of me I lost a $65 hand. The hand went down like this. I had picked up JJ in the big blind. Tim raised from UTG +1 to $3. blinds are .50/1 by the way. Kilgus in late position moves all in. He has $65. After debating for awhile I came to the conclusion he only has 3 hands. AK, a small pocket pair, or complete shit. I make the call with JJ as does tim, however tim only had around $25. Tim flips up QQ, Kilgus has AKo, and the board comes x x x A x. Kilgus took down a huge pot.
I continued to play my game however and ended up winning $120 for the night. There was a huge hand that I sucked out on faze where I hit a runner runner flush to his flopped top two pair, and Ill leave the story telling to him, just ask him about it. Anyway, On sunday I played in Vinny's $10 tournament with 19 people. After losing about 2000 of my chips on like the second hand(started with 4000) With KT to KJ on a board of 9 K 8 5 2, I picked up AA on the button. This kid UTG +1 raised it up and it was folded to me. Since my table appearence was super aggressive I decided that the best play would be to move all in. So I did. It was folded to this kid(Eric i think) and he took awhile and called. I was pretty happy hoping he had a big pair or AK. Well he flipped over KQ, which is actually better than AK against my AA. So the flop comes T J A, of course. So now sweating not only because the air wasnt on but now with the possibility of being the first person knocked out and being the best player there but the turn and river brought two fours and I made a full boat.
Later on I took a big beat when I played T9s extremely aggresive and flopped a ten on a board of T 4 5. I got called to the river by Q5 who called a raise preflop and a big bet on the flop. The turn was a 5. river blank and I paid him off.
Anyway the main event is Sunday at Noon. contact me or frank if you want in, I am pretty exicted about the mutual bankroll it seems like a fun experiment.
