Serious poker is no more about gambling than rock climbing is about taking risks.

So it has been an extremely long time since my last post. The number of games I played skyrocketed compared to the number of games when i last posted. Thanks mostly in part to Tim returning from college. Now I am playing close to 3 times a week and the money is finally starting to roll in. Since my last post, I am probably close to $900 and would easily be over $1000 if it werent for online poker. I played in two $1/$2 NL games and cashed out $265 up in one, and $200 in the other. The game where I won $260 was my first time playing in a casino. Ill talk more about that later. In the past three weeks I have been on a big surge and today capped it off. Today I won the T.O.C. in Franks Poker League and took home $95(Charlie actually split with me, he got $90, but we played for the win and I got it) Then tonight we played the most common game around here, which is basically H.O.E. usually the blinds are .25/.50 but tonight we played .50/1. I won $120 tonight putting me at $205 for the day. In between my cruise and today it has been a mixture of $5 and $10 tournaments and playing 3 or 4-handed H.O.E.

I havent posted in awhile because I honestly dont get enough people interested in this, but I decided that I would use this more of a personal log for the bankroll me and Tim have been working on. Right now the bankroll stands somewhere around $350, hopefully the next time I post it will be upwards of $500. Basically the plan is to continue to build our bankroll until we get enough to make a day and night trip to the turning stone casino. Right now $1/$2 is out of our limits, so hopefully we can get the bankroll to a comfortable level to bring to the turning stone. I think $700-$1000 is comfortable range.

I would type more but I am a little tired, my next post will be soon and will cover some things like prop bets as well as some more hand reviews... Oh and some about poker not being gambling... i think the title quote sums up my opinion, but I have been arguing this point alot lately...
